This Acrylic Painting:
This original Florida art - on framed canvas board - was completed in May, 2008, and was signed by this artist, R.Geddings. This painting has a double application of professional-grade Acrylic Polymer Varnish for protection and to bring out the deep sheen of the colors ! It actually appears as if it were an oil ! The actual canvas measures 20-inches wide by 16-inches high, is framed in a new, solid wood frame and is wall ready !

And the beat goes on..... here we find "Geddings Original" number eight in the new 2008 series of Riley's debut into the world of ACRYLICS - after having established himself as an artist of note with his paintings in OIL for many years. Riley specializes in Florida scenes - he particularly enjoys painting the various landscapes of The Florida Everglades - and has chosen yet another typical Everglades vista for this painting entitled "Morning Glory".

Observing this latest acrylic for the first time, one is immediately aware of the magnificent sky - those pale lemons - those beige hues - the streaks of orange - all produced as the sun slowly appears above the horizon - an ever-widening panorama - the night sky fading above in the deeper-colored blues and purples - a few whispy clouds .... this artist has once more capured on canvas the glory of a new day dawning in the Florida Glades - hence "Morning Glory".

Outlined against this glorious sky can be seen the lush Florida tropical foliage on stage right, with several of Florida's Cabbage Palms lifting their royal crowns of palm fronds heavenwards. On stage left one can observe a cluster of Southern Pines alongside a group of smaller "snags" (dead trees). In the foreground is an area of typical Florida Sawgrass Plain bordering a lowlands pond so typical in The Everglades.

These waters provide feeding grounds for many of Florida's wildlife - as evidenced by a Great White Heron already feeding - and the second Great White Heron flying in to search for an early-morning feast - perchance a Bream - perchance a Shellcracker. Overhead one sees the hallmark of this artist's talented artwork - Florida's ever-present seagull hovering and hoping as he observes the scene below him.

In conclusion .... as one enjoys observing this scene portrayed in "Morning Glory" one can imagine hearing the faint sounds of a celestial choir of angels singing their praises as they too observe the glory of the morning all captured on canvas in this magnificent portrayal of the beauty of God's creation !
