This artist has again captured the magnificence of a Florida sunrise and once more he has transferred that vision to this canvas. His admirable technique of combining brush strokes with the palette knife results in another masterpiece of true Florida art.

The rising sun is just peeking over the horizon behind the far distant palm trees, ever-present in The Florida Everglades, and creating those unforgetable displays of the morning sunshine showering the sky with various shades of yellow, orange and red against the blue background.

Those colors form a silhouette of the small group of cypress trees in the center of the canvas, and the true beauty of a typical Florida cypress tree is portrayed by the larger one on the right. Completing this beautiful scene are the two cabbage palm trees on the left. The occasional non-threatening clouds will soon disappear as the Florida sun warms the atmosphere.

The nocturnal wildlife having retreated to their respective dens and nests, one's eyes are drawn to the overhead gull - now awake and searching for his early breakfast.
