This original Florida art stretched canvas oil was painted in 2007, and was signed by the artist, R.Geddings. Quite a lot of knife work is included in this painting !

This artist has painted an unusually different night scene depicting the Florida Everglades as they appeared during a recent full moon. In the eerie stillness of this great night sky the full moon is gently shadowed by approaching storm clouds - promise of rain. In the foreground of the moonlit sky a beautiful Barn Owl glides on silent wings searching for an unsuspecting nocturnal rodent for his midnight snack.

The cabbage palm trees on the left of the painting are typical of what one can find in the Florida Everglades, as is the Spanish Moss hanging from the other trees on the right.

The pale moonlit reflections on the water complete the aura of this beautiful rendering.
