" GLADES HORIZON "

" Glades Horizon "

This Oil Painting:
This original Florida art stretched canvas oil was painted in 2007, and was signed by the artist, R.Geddings. Some extra knife work is included in this painting !

The actual canvas measures 24-inches wide by 18-inches high. This size is one of the standard sizes which makes framing easier and more affordable for you !

Once more, this popular artist has again captured a scene of The Florida Everglades which depicts the arrival of a new day over the well-known "Saw-Grass Plain".

The viewer will notice an occasional island - or hammock - which contains typical green Florida foliage of tropical bush and cabbage palms alongside the seemingly endless flat horizon. The saw-grass occasionally meets a pond where one of Florida's popular native birds - the Great White Heron - is fishing, whilst overhead - on silent wings - the hovering gull has a similar idea as he searches for his breakfast !

Depicted in the overhead backdrop, the sun gently rises in the pale, wintery-looking sky, and the artist's choice of pastel colors reminds one of those coolish December days when he sat down and painted this scene of another new day arriving in Florida's Glades.

Capturing one's eye - on center stage you might say - can be seen one of the typical smaller hammocks of land containing the two palm trees alongside what appears to be the vision shape of a "Christmas-tree" - so timely for this Season. Also catching one's eye - on stage right one might add - is another typical Florida tree from whose branches can be seen a goodly amount of Florida's Spanish Moss so prevalent in this area of our state.

The colors you see on your computer screen do not do justice to those in the actual painting which are simply gorgeous ! This signed and certified oil painting will not only be a valuable addition to your collection of Florida art, and a good investment also !
